A PowerPlan Professional Services Analyst works with a team of anywhere from 2-8 people to help configure and customize PowerPlan’s software to meet the specific accounting needs and business processes of utility customers. Analysts must fully understand the design documents for each component of the software that they are responsible for configuring. Analysts help build the solution by writing SQL scripts, assisting in the configuration of interfaces, converting and translating data, and testing the solution to ensure it meets the client’s desired outcomes.
The primary objective of a 1st year Analyst is to learn PowerPlan’s functionality quickly, as well as the basic tools and processes used to configure it. Project timelines range from 3 months to 2 years depending on the size and depth of scope. Typically, an Analyst will work only one project at a time until showing the proficiency to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Analysts may be expected to travel to client sites up to 50% of the time.

Please note that this is a hybrid role that involves a combination of onsite work from our corporate office as well as work from home. While we strive to accommodate flexible working arrangements when sensible, there will be times when onsite work is required. This could include scheduled office days, team meetings, client meetings, or special events.
